Where learning is FUN!!!!
Welcome to our page!
We are a friendly class of 5-6 year olds and we LOVE to learn about new things.
Every day we come to school with our
BIG SMILES,
ready to find out who the new STAR OF
THE DAY will be. It’s great being picked as
the STAR because you get to help around
the classroom and do important jobs! You
EVEN receive lovely compliments from the
rest of the class!
We are learning to be independent
thinkers and we use task boards so we can
organise ourselves.
This year to help our thinking skills we have
been learning how to use the 6 thinking
hats. When we put on one of the hats it
helps our brains think in that way!
We are always THINKING!!
At news time we take turns to talk and ask
for questions from our friends. We are
learning how to ask and answer
interesting questions as well
give reasons for our answers.
Every day we read and write. We learn
lots of new words and how to spell them
too!! We read to our teacher and our
teacher reads to us. We also love sharing
the stories we have written with
everyone.
In Maths we learn all about how numbers
work and how to recognise patterns in
numbers. We enjoy explaining how we have
worked out our answers to number
problems. We also get to practise our
maths skills every day on the Study
Ladder website.
Woodlands Park is such a COOL SCHOOL!!
