Fun and Future Ferns Netball (March 2012)
The netball season is starting soon and we have a lot of children interested in playing for our school.
We are hoping to have teams in the following grades:
- Fun Ferns-Years 1-3 (Games are played on Thursday between 4 and 6pm, commencing 26th April-23rd August).
- Future Ferns-Years 4-6 (Games are played on Saturday between 8.30am and 12pm, commencing 28th April-25th August).
All games will be played at Te Pai courts in Henderson.
Fees: likely to be about $50.00 for Fun Ferns and $60 for Future Ferns (depending on the number of children playing). Fees will be due on confirmation of the teams. Cheques can be made out to Woodlands Park School.
Practices: these will be weekly either after school or during lunchtime. All children need to be at the pratctices and wear appropriate footwear for both practices and games.
Coaches: Each team will require a coach/manager/umpire. We do rely on the good will of parents to help with our netball teams. If you are interested please see Mr Butterworth in Room 8 or fill out the form that your child will bring home. Please note that there are also umpire courses being run on Wed evenings at Te Pai Netball Centre for those who would like to upgrade their skills. Mr Butterworth also has a copy of the guidelines covering the rules for each grade.
If your child would like to play netball, please see Mr Butterworth for a permission slip.
