Welcome to Woodlands Park School

Woodlands Park School is situated in a beautiful bush-clad valley adjacent to Scenic Drive in the Waitakere Ranges of West Auckland. The school, with a roll of approximately 400 students is inclusive and caring. There is a strong community feeling that identifies closely with the school, which is the focal point of Woodlands Park.

The school was established in 1958 and is surrounded by native trees and birds. Community use of the school hall, pool, playing fields and other facilities is encouraged by the management and board. Pre-enrolment inquiries and visits are welcome and we encourage you to arrange a time to come and meet with us, ask questions and enjoy a guided tour of the school. Appointments can be made through the school office.

Unique Learners Inspired for the Future

We asked the children, the staff of the school, the Board of Trustees, the parents and the local community what kind of school Woodlands Park should be. Their response was that it will be ...

... a unique school, the best, where everyone’s abilities are nurtured so they can become the inquiring innovators of tomorrow.

Mission Statement

Our school is a supportive community where we all work together to create an innovative learning environment in which all our children thrive.

 Out of Zone Enrolments 2019

Enrolment at the school is governed by an enrolment scheme, details of which are available from the school office.

The Board of Trustees has determined that there are currently places for 2019 in the following year groups:

20 places for children who will be new entrants in 2019

10 places for children who are Year 2 in 2019.

For out of zone students seeking enrolment in 2019, the deadline for receipt of applications for this current round of out of zone enrolments is Friday 29th March 2019.

If the number of out of zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot.  If a ballot for out of zone places is required, it will be held on Monday 1st April 2019.
