Woodlands Park School Board of Trustees has two current support role vacancies.

 

These are not Trustee positions and do not come with voting rights at meetings.

THESE POSITIONS HAVE BEEN APPOINTED

1. MINUTE SECRETARY TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

 

 

 

This is a paid role to a maximum of four (4) hours monthly, predominantly at the scheduled Board meetings, which are six weekly on a Wednesday evening from 6.30pm. The dates in 2017 are: 12 April, 24 May 5 July, 16 August, 20 September, 1 November, 6 December.

 

 

 

Duties:

 

Record the minutes in the required format at the scheduled Board meetings

 

Distribute draft minutes to board members within one week of the meeting and make amendments as required

 

Typing and sending other correspondence as required.

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Ability to act professionally and maintain confidentially at all times
  • A professional and discrete character
  • Previous experience with minute taking, preferably at board level
  • Ability to deal with the necessary technical equipment (laptop, photocopier)
  • Knowledge of corporate governance and compliance advantageous
  • Have excellent listening, oral, literacy and writing skills
  • Understanding and ability to work within the school culture and its structures.

2. FUNDING APPLICATION ASSISTANCE

 

 

This is an unpaid voluntary role working with the Parent Trustee with the Funding Portfolio to compile and complete funding applications. It involves spending a few hours from time to time on funding applications for the school.

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Previous experience identifying funding streams and completing applications
  • Ability to act professionally and maintain confidentially at all times
  • Understanding and ability to work within the school culture and its structures
  • Have excellent listening, oral, literacy and writing skills
